I like that they had a pool.

It was not near anything by walking distance, no restaurants or shops. It is not near any of the ports or markets. The hotel staff were not very good or friendly, and the rooms were in very poor condition, (stains all over, broken tv, broken door) I also didn't like the thousands of Mosquitos in the hallways and our bedroom. This is not the Tangier people come to visit. Be warned.

Not good atmospher , most of the people using the pool is local kids , with to much noise . the hotel does not look as the picturs in the net . strongly not recommend it

Rooms were large and clean though felt a bit musty. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Wifi connection in reception area. Area is unatractive, but most of Tangier is concrete hell anyway. But the taxi rides are fun for thrill seekers. Only nearby amenities we found was the huge Marjane shopping centre about a ten minute walk from hotel.

Location, location, location. Too far from centre to walk, so unless you want to spend all your time in taxis when you're out then you stay out for the whole day. No amenities at night as outside of the medina, tangier is a concrete hell. There is a shopping centre nearby though. Turn left out of hotel cross the mental highway and walk about 500 yards and huge shopping mall is to your right.

Despite the language barrier, the receptionist was extremely helpful and flexible. Hotel Ahlen was a great value for the money and I would definitely recommend it. The pool was a huge plus and the included breakfast was appropriate. The tavern connected to the hotel is wonderful. Good place to watch soccer games, smoking friendly, and the bartenders are nice to everyone.

My only concerns were that the couch beds had very dusty blankets and the hotel is not located in a very nice part of town.
